This year, just under 40% of all grades awarded were A or A*, demonstrating the high academic standards achieved across the sixth form. In an outstanding achievement, one in eight students secured a clean sweep of A and A grades*, highlighting the strength and depth of talent within the year group.

Among the highest achievers were three students who each earned an incredible four A grades*. Former Head Girl Sophia Sutton achieved this remarkable result and will now progress to the University of Oxford to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE).

Joining Sophia in achieving four A* grades were Erin Dawkins, who will study English Law and French Law at the University of Exeter, and Jasmine Goodwill, who is heading to the University of Bath to study Chemistry.

Sophie Scoot also delivered an exceptional performance, securing three A grades* and earning a place at Durham University, where she will study Geography.

Another student celebrating a fantastic achievement is former Deputy Head Girl Bonnie Skinner, who achieved two A grades and one A grade*. Alongside her academic success, Bonnie has already made an impact in the wider community through her work with MPs and business leaders on the Safer Workplaces in Torbay campaign, which gained regional media attention over the summer. She will now continue her journey at the University of Bristol, studying Politics and International Relations with Study Abroad.

The excellent results were reflected across the entire cohort. More than a third of students achieved at least two A grades, while 15% secured at least three A grades, underlining the consistently high levels of achievement throughout the year group.

  

Celebrating Every Student's Success

Headteacher Ms Forster praised the achievements of the students and the opportunities their results have created:

"We are incredibly proud of all of our sixth form students. Their results today give them choices about their future and we are excited for their future. They are amazing, hardworking and ambitious young people who will go on to be history makers of the future."

TG6 is also proud to celebrate the achievements of students who joined the sixth form from other schools and quickly became valued members of the community.

Taylor Stevens achieved an impressive A*AB, while twin sisters Paulina and Oliwia Waliczek both achieved ABC grades, reflecting their commitment and determination throughout their time at TG6.

Exciting Destinations and Bright Futures

Alongside those progressing to university, several students have secured highly competitive degree apprenticeships, including opportunities with global organisations such as Cisco Systems.

This year's leavers are moving on to an exciting range of destinations and courses, including Law, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, Musical Theatre, Aerospace Engineering, Game Design and many more.
